In Yuanyuan's Memory: Blood Donation and Picnic July 23, 11:30am - 3 pm!

Memorial Sloan Kettering, the excellent hospital on the Upper East Side where Yuanyuan Wang received her cancer treatment, is working with The Church of Good Deeds to do a blood drive in her honor! So we're throwing a potluck picnic to go along with it.

Anyone and everyone may join us for the picnic, but only the first ten people who commit to donating blood will get to do so, with all donations pre-scheduled from 11am-2:30. If you want to donate blood, you MUST coordinate with us ahead of time to make sure you're in the schedule. Please RSVP on our Facebook page by clicking here.

St. Catherine's Park is a mostly-concrete but pretty park on the NW corner of 67th and 1st Avenue, right across the street from 1250 1st Avenue, where the drive will be held. There will be tables and playground surface and little if any grass, so bring blankets, mats, or chairs if you have, otherwise bring food and drinks to share! (We can prob get away with a boozy brunch if the containers are kept on the down-low, but you didn't hear that from me.)

In case of rain, the blood drive will still happen and one of the MSK doctors will host our picnic at her nearby apartment!!! Save the date and join us for a chill picnic, give some blood and save a life!

Church Of Good Deeds BYOB Evening - Clothing Swap and Donation on Sunday 5/28 from 5-9pm!

We're making this a monthly event; this is your second chance to DO A GOOD DEED for others, while helping yourself!  Click here to RSVP on Facebook.

The Event: Bring clothes and shoes in good condition that don't fit your body or your style anymore, and/or just "shop" from what others bring. The refreshments are BYOB (bring a boozy bottle or snacks to share), otherwise there is NO cost for anything, although you can donate to the venue for letting us use the New York Dangerous event space (through Cosmos Montoya) or to The Church of Good Deeds (through Leon Feingold).

Volunteers Needed: We're looking for volunteers specifically to identify and reach out on our behalf to local not-for-profit groups which provide housing and clothing for people in at-risk communities!!! For this event, we'd love to have as many people in need attend as possible for direct assistance. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Yuanyuan Wang's "Church Of Good Deeds" Memorial Fundraiser at House Of YES!

Save the date! This will be an amazing evening full of performances, music, dance, stories, toasts, and celebrating the life of Yuanyuan Wang(her story and donation page here: https://www.youcaring.com/yuanyuan-sky-walker-wang-678763) at Brooklyn's favorite venue.

All are welcome to attend, whether or not you knew Yuan or Leonpersonally! Admission is "pay what you wish," all donations go directly to the charity they co-founded, The Church of Good Deeds, and are 100% tax-deductible.

The mission of the CoGD is to encourage altruistic acts of charity in all forms. We're already coordinating volunteer events around NYC, and hope to develop a website ASAP matching up "angels" with needy community members.

Anyone interested in volunteering (either building our website, or assisting those in need, or performing at this event!) please "like" the Church of Good Deeds FB page and write us!
